Building ourselves

Jude 1:3

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude, was a brother of Lord Jesus and brother of James.

This servant of God about to write to the Church and the topic he wanted to write was Common Salvation.

Common Salvation means it could be because in those days Jews were not easily associated with gentiles.

So, Jude was very diligent to write about common salvation , he found it necessary to write to defend the faith.

Defending the Faith is one of the biggest things in Christian life.

While the greatness of Salvation, how the promise to Abraham is fulfilled. Jews and Gentiles now alike can take part in this divine nature,  the inheritance is great.

But when it comes to Faith in our daily lives, we struggle.

There will be people , who will be coming into Church. Sometimes strangers comes, 

Sometimes strange doctrines come,

sometimes people view Gods grace to do whatever they want.

You don't have to go to public to deny Christ. When a person uses Gods grace as excuse to does whatever he wants to do.

Example: Cartoon, there is nothing wrong as long as you like it.

Even in Church, in our faith, there will be many you tube videos you might be watching.

But Jude is saying in do not use Gods grace as excuse to do whatever you want.

There are these people 

People who perished in wilderness ( saved from egypt but perished in wilderness)

angels - did not keep proper domain 

sodom and gomorrah -  are all reserved for eternal fire.

Likewise , the same comparison is given to other other groups of people

dreamers

1) defile the flesh

2) reject the authority

3) speak evil of dignitaries

you should bring body, soul, spirit under the authority of the Word of God.

10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

A beast , all it knows is to attack.

So in the knowing, they corrupt themselves.

and they speak evil of whatever they do not know.

Cain - behaved like beast in what he knew.

Balaam - ran greedily for profit

Korah - rebellion

today we see CHOPT and may things coming up. socialism.

I want all of you to be very aware.

Feasting is about serving.

V12

12 These are [g]spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves

But beloved, start building yourselves.

V20

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

The Lord cleansed you, the Lord 

Building - is in Prayer.

Do not step outside of the love of God.

Prodigal son went out of the love.

When you feast, you actually serve others.
