Blessing

Blessing is an act or a word to
Genesis 1:22
First occurrence of blessing
And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
Genesis 1:22 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.1.22.NKJV
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:28 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.1.28.NKJV
God blessed man to be fruitful and Dominion.
Even  man bless.
Rebekah was blessed by her family
And they blessed Rebekah and said to her: “Our sister, may you become The  mother  of thousands of ten thousands; And may your descendants possess The gates of those who hate them.”
Genesis 24:60 NKJV

How a person can really bless.
What does it require to bless another person.
Faith.
We see in Hebrews 11 that many men and women of faith did mighty things by faith,
Sarah received power to conceive.
Abraham by faith moved to promised Land.
By faith Moses rejected passing pleasures.
By Faith only you can pronounce a blessing.
By faith Jacob worshipped leaning on his staff and blessed each of his sons.
Faith is confession of God's promise.
Gods Word we should declare it.

By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.
Hebrews 11:20‭-‬21 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/heb.11.20-21.NKJV
Genesis 48: 8-10
Jacob blessed sons of Joseph.
Faith is the only factor God will accept.
Jacob eyes were dim.
But faith doesn't require natural eyes.
The world might say when you don't have something how can you bless others.
When Abraham was asked to pray for the womb of kingdom of abimelech.
Abraham didn't have any kids at that time but it is only by faith you bless.
You should be a person who knows God's promises.
If you don't know what God has promised how can you bless.
The basis of your faith is promise of God.
Even when Joseph had arranged his sons correctly to get blessed, and although Jacob cannot see , by faith he placed his hands correctly and blessed the sons.
Numbers 13 : 25
When Moses sent spies.
10 of them came back and gave evil report.
They told the facts. But facts are not Truth.
You got to speak blessing and for you to bless you have to speak by faith the Word of God.
And they returned from spying out the land after forty days. Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. There we saw the giants ( the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
Numbers 13:25‭-‬28‭, ‬33 NKJV

Telling a fact report can become evil report if there is no faith in it.
Truth is not merely telling true words, Truth is about speaking the Word of God by faith.
Second part is choosing a blessing.
Proclamation of blessing is one thing and second is choosing a blessing
The Bible talks about many Godly men and women in New testament.
When mentioned about old testament saints, the new testament does not mention about their sins.
Did David sin, Samson?
But New testament talks about their faith and not about their sins.
But the new testament talks about sins of few people
Sin of Esau -Food
Sin of Cain - Ego and Pride and anger
Sin of Balaam -Riches
Why
Everybody sins, but whats the difference.
In anger , a person scolds and sins
In moment of lust, looks at a women and sins.
But there comes situations in our lives where we have to choose between a blessing (spiritual) and worldly thing.
That will turn out to be a critical moment.
For example
Let's see Cain.
The Lord gave an opportunity to Cain even after his offering was rejected.
So now he has to choose what he has to do.
He could have said sorry Lord I messed it up with my offering. Next time I will bring the best of offering.
But instead he chose to vent out his anger at his brother and killed him.
When you are confronted with a choice of a blessing and worldly thing and if you choose to reject the Blessing that comes from God then Bible calls such person as evil person.
Jude says woe to them for they gone in the way of Cain.
not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous.
I John 3:12 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/1jn.3.12.NKJV
So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
Genesis 4:6‭-‬7 NKJV

Esau:
The below is how Esau rejected his Blessing.
Blessing of God against a material momentary thing.
In life you will always come across these options.
What you choose matters.
Can you see this Esau rejected God's blessing and after wards when he wanted to inherit he was rejected.
There was no place for repentance even though he deligently sought with tears.
This is pretty serious.
lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
Hebrews 12:16‭-‬17 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/heb.12.16-17.NKJV
Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.” Therefore his name was called Edom. But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.” And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?” Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.” So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
Genesis 25:29‭-‬34 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.25.29-34.NKJV
Choosing is a blessing is important.
