Psalm 142

When Saul the King was chasing after David , he escaped and ended in a cave called Adullam. David was emotionally down.

 v4. Look on my right hand and see,
For there is no one who acknowledges me;
Refuge has failed me;
No one cares for my soul.

David was feeling so lonely. No one cares for my soul. Today so many people live in loneliness.
even though they might have family, but no one cares for them. 
Today it is all about virtual. Wife and husband might be on the same bed, but the husband will be sending messages on whatsapp to his friends, and wife will be sending whatsapp messages.when some thing funny comes on whatsapp group they will laugh. I
Facebook, if some one follows you find a neighbor if someone unfollows you you are in depression,  if some body likes you are excited, if someone disliked you are depressed. Today the whole world is so lonely.

Story of 3 friends.

 David was a lonely man in Adullam Cave. What kind of people approached him.
people in Debt, discontented.
1 Samuel 22:1


David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it,they went down there to him. 2 And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him. 

and he became Captain over them.
When you are down you need someone who is stronger.

A CEO is as good as his team.
A leader is as good as his team.
Any leader of an organization wants smart, brilliant people for the success of company.

Not in the Bible.

The Way God operates is entirely different from the way world operates is .
David became a CEO of the company of debt people, people are completely down.

When Gideon comes with thousands of people, God asks Gideon to cut down the size and brings down to 300

When the Lord choses disciples, he didnt go to Gamaliel university and see who are the best brains in this university and chose them.

Even here God leads David to become CEO of people who dont have anything to offer.

In Christian life, it is all about God.

But how do these leaders run these organizations, like David, like Jesus.

I cried out to You, O Lord:
I said, “You are my refuge,
My portion in the land of the living.

They know how to cry.
The day , they spend time with the needy, and when alone they cry out to God.
God blesses you to bless who are in need.
In Gospels, Lord Jesus says when you give a feats , invite poor, blind, lame and give the feast.


Result

12 Now these are the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he could not move about freely because of Saul the son of Kish. And they were among the mighty men who helped him in war. 2 They were bowmen and could shoot arrows and sling stones with either the right or the left hand

Psalm 140

1) Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men;
Preserve me from violent men,
2 2) Who plan evil things in their hearts;
They continually gather together for war.
3 3) They sharpen their tongues like a serpent;
The poison of asps is under their lips. 


Matthew 6 : 13

And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[

The world is full of evil.
You go to schools,colleges, offices, everywhere you see evil.

People who plan wicked things in their hearts and have poison in their tongues.
They continually gather together for war.

For evil one the friend is evil.

Isaiah 5:20
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

1) Call evil as evil.

When you see evil or hear evil. call it as evil, don't mask it and say that it is okay. 

Genesis 3:  the devil calls truth as lie

1 thess 5 22 reject every kind of evil. 

2)  Depart from it.

First a desire to run away from evil should be there.

Some people ask can i watch this or can i go there or can i go to pub ?

If you become a believer, the first thing is depart from evil.

Joseph running away from evil.
Genesis 39:
11 But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, 12 that she caught him by his garment, saying, “Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. 13 And so it was, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and fled outside,

Joseph did not stay there and tried to resist. but he ran.


Proverbs 1:8

My son, hear the instruction of your father,
And do not forsake the law of your mother;
9 For they will be a graceful ornament on your head,
And chains about your neck.

10 My son, if sinners entice you,
Do not consent.

2 Timothy 2:22

22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.


3) Do not repay insult

1 Peter 3:8.9
8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;[a] 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
