Then there appeared - Acts 2:3

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Then there appeared

God is God of Order.

Nothing happens in the just like that in the Sphere of God.

for example : many times we sing 'What a friend we have in Jesus'

But bible actually says  John 15:14

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

We never sing like  'What a friend we have in Jesus, If we obey whatever He commands'.

Psalms 107:158 says  The Totality of the Word is Truth.

Then there appeared

When Appears? When We can tangibly see? When the things can be seen?

Then

The Word Then is very prominent in Gods creation.

Because it tells the Order of God.

Genesis 1:

When the earth is without form and void

Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

V3 - Then God said Let there Light.

V6 - Then

V7, V9, V11, V14,V16,V20,V24, V26,V28 - Then

God did not suddenly say Let us make man in our own image. but God began with order and every then preceeded by some thing important event. by the time man was created all the creation was ready. and Then God said let Us make man in our Own Image.

Now in Acts 1:

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 

Lord Jesus commanded the disciples not to depart from Jerusalem.

There is a Command, and there is obedience

Don't depart. Waiting for the promise

After Jesus ascended, the disciples went From Mount Olivet to Jerusalem a sabbath day journey.

40 days Jesus appeared and then ascended.

And the in upper room.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Acts 1:14 NKJV

All in One Accord , in one place.

One Accord

Unity has great power.

Can you imagine, all disciples in one place. Similar crowd like this. about 120 people.

For us, to gather one Sunday and not have disagreements is difficult.

We have so many complaints, just like early Church - food is not good, too much spicy, less spicy, Pastor is not saying hi to me,  he only say hi to others.

if we get one problem, we try to depart.

All kinds of problems will be there . but don't depart, Obey the Word of God.

Don't look to the people,  Promise Giver is God. and Receive from Him.

Then There was Sound - Gods Order - where there is Unity There will be Sound

Filling comes before appearance.  - Filling we don't see it, its not some thing that you see with your eye or some thing touch with your hands. 

Many times we want to see first before being filled

Faith. - being filled

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
Hebrews 11:1‭-‬2 NKJV

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Things which are seen a were not made of things which are visible.

THEN  tongues of fire sat on each one of them.

When the fire comes, what happens consumes - but they were revived.

Moses saw fire over bush, but the bush is not consumed.

2 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

This is the THEN moment.

Greater things

Hello my name is Kiran.

Turn to your neighbor and say Jesus Loves You.
Turn to other neighbor and say He has greater plans for you.

There was a story of young prince. and this prince ,he would always want to be great, wherever he goes.
One day there was a birthday party going on, and this prince went there and he pushed away the birthday  boy and said I am the greatest one here, I will cut the cake and sing the song for me.
All the people got upset but they could not say anything because he is the prince of that kingdom.

Another day, there was a wedding happening , and this prince was going along that route and he saw the wedding there, and he crashed into the wedding, and pushed away the bride and he said i am the greatest one here, so i am the bride here.

So all the people of the kingdom were so upset with this prince, but they could nt say anything.

one fine day, as this prince was travelling along the road , he saw there was funeral happening, and crashed into the funeral and pulled the dead man out the casket and laid down in it and asked the priest to talk great about him.  All the people who were waiting for appropriate time, saw this opportunity and closed the casket, and I would leave it to your imagination of what happened next.

Is this what greatness is all about, being the best  where your are
If you get the importance in the place where you are, is that the greater thing?


Gods Love - Gods Love is revealed in the Plans he has for you.
The Word of God says,

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Plan:
Planning is an important part of our life. We plan so many things in life,
if you want to go for vacation, you book the tickets in advance, you book the hotels, you take all the stuff that is required.

Gods plan for you will be revealed when you get connected to Him.

and it is revealed Step By Step.

When you get connected to God, You will experience His Love, God Reveals His Love in each and every stage, the plan unfolds at each stage.
God leads us in small small steps.


Psalm 37:23

The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
    He delights in every detail of their lives.


Future:
Are you concerned about your future? Whats going to happen? what will be my life?
What is my career?

My life was like that.  - When i finished my 12th, i don't know what to study next, no proper guidance. But i got int computers science engineeering.

I was wondering wherther i can study this. But thats God plan for me, the blessing of the because i studied computers science, there were so many people got jobs just because i studied computers science.
God has used my doubts , my questions about my life and stepped in and revealed that this is to bless many others.

If there is one thing, that is missing in this world . Hope.

Power of Agreement

Agreement means Accordance , or in harmony.
There is power in agreement.


Agreement does not happen with one party. Agreement needs multiple parties.

when multiple parties come together and get into Spirit of oneness , the agreement happens.

Most of the problems we see in life is because there is no agreement.

We see fighting between countries, because there is no agreement.

We see fights everywhere because there is no harmony.

Understanding Oneness that comes from agreement.

The concept of oneness can be learnt from this scripture :

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,”He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

When a person goes to a harlot - what happens is they both become One flesh.

But when you joined to the Lord  - One Spirit.

Remember whenever you use your body, your mouth to immoral things or foolish things, you are declaring that you are becoming One with the world.

Joined to harlot - means coming to an agreement with harlot, then body becomes one.

Joined to the Lord - means agreement with the Lord , then Spirit becomes One.

You are either One body with the world or One Spirit with God. It is either Or.

There is always  One Ness in anything we do because we agree to someone/ something

Existence of man is because of agreement in GodHead.

The very existence of man can be attributed to the agreement that God said

Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

For every other created thing, God said Let the waters, Let there be light , there is no agreement required ,you 

but when it came to creating the man, there is an agreement that God head has come and said Let Us make man in Our image.

Nothing else in this world is in the image of God, its only the man who is in the image of God. and when some thing so powerful as in the likeness of God is being created, that creation needs an agreement and so God said Let Us.

Heart of agreement:

Nehemiah 8: 1

Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was  in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel.

They all gather as one man. This is really incredible. Even a physical gathering can show whether there is one Ness or not. We are so careless even in our gatherings which shows that there is not much of unity.

Most of the times our attitudes are like:

I don't have any problem with others but am of myself , so I will just come and go.

But when these  Israelites have gathered , they were like One Man. Not only physical appearance, but their hearts preparation is that I am part of the Church. I am going to join my brothers and sisters . Am One with my bretheren. Whatever decisions are taken to follow God , I will fully agree with it.

V3 - Ears will be attentive

A man who comes for agreement , his ears will be attentive to the Word of God.

So many times we come to Church , but our ears are not attentive.

If you come with heart of agreement, you will hear the Word of God with attention.

Agree with Words.

And Ezra blessed the Lord , the great God. Then all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!” while lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.

For us when we pray , at the end we say Amen.

But for us , Amen became so usual, that's the ending Word in our prayers.

During fasting prayers , when daadis pray I usually wait for their long prayers to end, I will be waiting for the last line - Sambda Sweekar Karu - So I can quickly say Amen 

Amen is agreement , Yes I agree.

First come in agreement with God.

Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

Nehemiah 9:2 NKJV

Separate from the world and confess your sins.

First sign of agreement with God is Separation.

Second sign of agreement with God is confession of sins.

Third sign of agreement with God is declaration.

“And because of all this, We make a sure covenant and write it; Our leaders, our Levites, and our priests seal it. ”

To walk in godliness is not just a matter of decision in heart, you got to declare it in prayer or have an accountable person in life a Jonathan and declare that God is leading you to walk in this area of godliness so I declare this to you . It is not for boasting but for accountability.

Here we see the Israelites made declaration s to walk in godly ways and they signed bit.

Even for bringing the tithe they declare  it 

to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of our God; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities.

Declaration is part of agreement.

Agreement brings results

Matthew 18: 19-20

19 “Again[d] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Agreement reveals Presence of God.

When two or three gather together in Jesus Name, the presence of the Lord is revealed. 

Where the presence of the Lord is the miracles are done.rhe breakthroughs are seen 

The victory is seen.

The secret of marriage is agreement.

God brought  man and woman in marriage to agree.

Agree to God's will.

Psalm 3

If somebody comes and say 
“There is no help for him in God.” 
We often hear, even God cannot help him this situation.

That is the most horrible thing a person can ever hear.
When you hear such things, or faces situations like those where you think even God cannot help you, what should be the response of a believer.

That response is what a Psalm is?

We many times live lives based on how people look at us.

They enemies use every opportunity to attack people.
Its very hard to deal with people who always attacks us.

When you see some people who always attacks with their tongues, and when you see them coming you almost know what kinds of words they speak , and even before they talk you can feel the pain. You internally fear and try put layers upon layers, so that the other person wont attack you. you tried to shield yourself by putting these layers .

But these kind of things wont long last and you will be tired of it one day.
So what you need is:
all your shields that you make for yourself , you will be tired of it one day.

What you need is Verse 3

But You, O Lord, are a shield [a]for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.


When you are attacked by enemies, come under the refuge of God.
Come in prayer, search for the scriptures, walk in the Spirit.
God is refuge.
When you don't know where you are going, 
when you don't know why you are going
When you don't know how you are going to survive, 
Remember God is your Shield. He will protect you.

Apostle Paul says the your faith in God is the Shield.


Verse 4
I cried to the Lord with my voice,
And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

Some people say I Pray in my heart
Thats only for people in special situations and special abilites.

Special situations:
When you are in midst of unbelievers and there is a great danger of persecution, then you quietly pray and some times you pray in your heart.

When some people with special abilities cannot speak, they pray in heart.

But otherwise God has given this voice to Pray, Cry out with your voice.
You know how Jesus Prayed.

Hebrews 5:7
7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, 

Men -

Gorilla story.


We are living in a day and a time when the roles of each individual in a family has been changing.
For example in the previous days men would be leading providers of the family. Slowly women caught up and in some families women are leading. The roles of the men and women have changed. In some cases roles of children have changed. 


But the very fact that you are male, doesn't mean that you are man.

What it means to be a man? We all don't know what it to be a real man.
Do you have best examples in your own life. How  a man should be?
Growing up in India. We see that a man should be like a movie start who can beat others.
The best example for us could be our own fathers who just earn and provide to us and taught some good habits. and for some the fathers could be hard fathers with whom they might never had joyful discussion.

We grow up in different situations and do we really know what man should be like.

When do you become man? If our son comes and asks what it means to be man, what do you say. Can you say I am your best example or can you say this man or that man is the best example.


In this world there are only 2 kinds of men.

Romans 5:17,18

18 Therefore, as through [h]one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one[i] Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Each man in this world can be divided into one of the 2 categories 

Male leadership is not natural but super natural.  

We will be looking at these two different Adams
The First Adam  and the Second Adam.
and we will learn what it means to be a man. 

Two different individuals
Two complete different personalities
Two different destinations


Adam

One man through his sin , all were sinners.
but one mans obedience , many will be made righteous.

We will see what real manhood is.  

1. Active Leadership

Active Leadership doesn't just sit and laid back and see how the show goes.

Many of us are not proactive.

Just an example:
if the kids are not behaving properly, let the age catchup they will behave.  sit back and relax.

if our spouse is nagging, you never take active role of praying for her and talking to her, you will go and laidback and watch tv.

Remember, Job was praying even if there is a celebration at home. An active Leader at home.

Job 1:4-5
4 And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and [c]sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed[d] God in their hearts.”


Genesis 3:6
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate


First Adam did not actively took leadership and said relax, let her eat and see. He was living being.

Second Adam : Jesus was Son of God. He was full of glory, in communion with Father. Jesus does not need to come. But He was not sitting laid back and watching the story.
He was life giver


1 Corinthians 15:45
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.


Active leadership also involves listening to gods voice

Whose voice should win? It's God's voice.
If there is a situation at home, if you think differently and your wife ha s different thoughts , whose thoughts should win?
If your wife's thought s are according to Word of God, go and say
Honey I will listen to this.


Noah was active leader.


2. Responsibility

Genesis 3:12
12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

Adam said woman gave, but what did Adam give ?


Responsibility is most tested in failures.

we all mess up. But when we mess up how do we respond.

First Adam did not take responsibility. 
He was asked to take dominion. He left his responsibility. 
He committed mistake , but still does not want to take responsibility.

Second Adam   

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Although He knew no sin, He took the responsibility and came down took punishment. That is Leadership.

100 percent % in responsibility.

Not just providing food , but  take active leadership, take responsibility.


First Adam was Life taker

Second Adam was Life giver.
