Righteousness

when you come into presence of God, dont act as full but wait for Gods revelation.

Do not neglect the Word of God.

In the activity , we have seen everybody is deciding the wages of a person based on what they can do.
In the Parable of the workers in the Vineyard, the landowner gave to the last one same as the first one.
We all want wages to be decided by the doing.
But in the Kingdom of God, it works differently.
For the last one who came it was a gift. that is mercy.

The first people were asking why,  because everyone expects wages based on what they do.

Christian world is full of people expecting based on what you do. But based on what you

The Biggest Load

What is the biggest load that a Christian is bearing in these days.

Living a Christian Life. because of the law.

Law.

Burden of the law.

James 2:10

10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all

Shall Not -

Shall Not -

Shall Not-

If you break one law, you guilty of all.

Earning Wages - you have to earn and will never be enoguh

Truth is no one can  bear the burden. But still we see everyone even in Church wants to follow the law.

Romans 4:1-4

What then shall we say that Abraham our father[a] has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was [b]accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted [c]as grace but as debt.

Righteousness of God

How Christ gave righteousness

Christ did not sin.

Mercy - What we deserve we were not given

Grace - what we don't deserve we are given

“Abraham believed God, and it was [b]accounted to him for righteousness.

Imputed Righteousness

2 Corinthians 5:21

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not [d]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Lord Jesus became sin.

We might become the righteousness of God in Him.

There is a transfer that hapenned

Galatians - If Righteousness could be given by law?

Galatians 3:21,22

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Life cannot be given Law. because it cannot give righteousness

Law Demands , but Grace provides.

Romans 5:17

17 For if by the one man’s [g]offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Letter kills But Spirit gives life

example of 3000 people

Exodus 32: 28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.

Acts 2: 41 Then those who [m]gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Achievement vs Impute?

Good Behavior because of Righteousness

Suit Example

Romans 6:14

13 And do not present your members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Man is struggling with sin.

Today, why man is struggling in sin., why even Church is struggling in sin

because Church did not understand that the new Covenant is of the

Strength of sin is law

1 Corinthians 15:56

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

When Righteousness comes, what happens, spirit becomes alive

Spirit gives life.

Romans 8 :10
10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation

Spirit gives birth to Spirit

Example:

It is not I who lives.

Brother, i cannot overcome bad habits, etc..

Not I , but Christ.

John 3:6

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Gods Life gives power to dominate the flesh.

Gospel is good news

not a burden to live righteous life.

So Gods life will ease the burden of doing , and rests on his Righteousness.

Matthew 11: 28-30

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [f]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

So This is all good, But how do I live this righteous life.

1) Accept and Acknowledge  &  Confess

Romans 12:2 Transformation. and renewing is not about saying, oh i dont want to do this sin,

i dont want to tell lie,

Your doing will fail you.

You renewal is this. You confess your righteousness.

Example:  Gift - little children open and talk about it

grownups alwalys keep it inside.

This eases the burden

As a man think so is he.

Woman with the issue of blood

Talk to yourself

Woman issue with blood

Matthew 9:21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”

David said Bless the Lord Oh my soul.

In the multitude of words  there is sin

In the multitude of praises there is Glory

In the multitude of confession of the Word of God, there is breakthrough

Righteous are bold like lion

Put on Righteousness

Job 29:14

14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me;
My justice was like a robe and a turban.

Dominate flesh by the Spirit.

God has given us spirit of not fear, but of sound mind

Spirit of Sound mind dominates the flesh

Skilled in the Word of Righteousness.

Hebrews 5:12-14

12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the [b]oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are [c]of full age, that is, those who by reason of [d]use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

2) Identify

Everything that you identify with the flesh, your education, your background, your doings.

All things should go away.

Your Identity should be Christ.

No traditions No background No Boast

Righteous people are the biggest

Genesis 19: if there are 10 righteous

Romans 1:16

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deuteronomy 9:4,5,6

“Do not think in your heart, after the Lord your God has cast them out before you, saying, ‘Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to possess this land’; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may [a]fulfill the word which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked[b] people.

Galatians 6:14,15

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by [b]whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.

"Country"Man

21 Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, “It is because of Saul and his [a]bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.” So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; the children of Israel had sworn protection to them, but Saul had sought to kill them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah.

Therefore David said to the Gibeonites, “What shall I do for you? And with what shall I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?”

And the Gibeonites said to him, “We will have no silver or gold from Saul or from his house, nor shall you kill any man in Israel for us.”

So he said, “Whatever you say, I will do for you.”

Then they answered the king, “As for the man who consumed us and plotted against us, that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the territories of Israel, let seven men of his descendants be delivered to us, and we will hang them before the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, whom the Lord chose.”

And the king said, “I will give them.

David's ruling - there was a famine for 3 years.

David was a man of Inquiry -

 David’s 1st Inquiry – 1 Samuel 23:1-3

David loved Israel - went and saved Keilah

David’s 2nd Inquiry – 1 Samuel 23:4-5

David’s 3rd Inquiry – 1 Samuel 23:10-11

David’s 4th Inquiry – 1 Samuel 23:12-14

David’s 5th Inquiry – 1 Samuel 30:8-9

David’s 6th Inquiry – 2 Samuel 2:1-2  - David Anointed

David’s 7th Inquiry – 2 Samuel 5:17-21

David’s 8th Inquiry – 2 Samuel 5:22-25

David’s 9th Inquiry – 2 Samuel 21:1

A man of Inquiry

A godly man - when there is something wrong in his life or in his authority - he first inquires God.

David was a man of inquiry.

Do you enquire God -

When David has to go to a war - he enquires God? Can I go?

Even after Saul and Jonathan were killed, David asks God where shall I go ?

2 Samuel 2:1

Today what was missing in Christianity is asking God?

When you have to take a decision? do you ask God?

when you are buying or moving or doing anything? do you ask God?

or do you just do it.

my testimony: Land purchase.

Isaiah 30:1

“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord,
“Who take counsel, but not of Me,
And who [a]devise plans, but not of My Spirit,
That they may add sin to sin;

Famine:

Famines can come in Godly mans life also. But he searches it out

Proverbs 25:2

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Nation has a problem - David goes and asks God.

Nothing happens in a mans life suddenly.

You dont get fat suddenly.

You dont become millionaire suddenly.

Vamsi didn't become a business owner suddenly.

Building up.

Acts 1:14

14 These all continued with one [d]accord in prayer [e]and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Jude 1:20

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Being built up.

So many people wait something to happen .

But you got to build.

Coming back, Famine happened. David searches out.

it is found that something happenned in time of saul

when famine happens, or pestilence happens.

When Nation is in problem - David comes onto picture.

Concern about God and nation is always on Davids mind.

When Israel was in problem -  David was very angry at goliath-

1 Samuel 23:1-3  When Geliah was in problem - David went saved them

David is man of his country.

We live in this country

We like the fruit of the country-  But we don't care about the pain of this country.

the fruit of the country - social security, food, lifestyle -everything we like.

But man when there is pain for the country -

For this Nation - we are the hope. It is not the politicians, it is not the judicial system

It is you and me who has the Spirit of God who can give the hope.

recent laws in the land

It is when things are good - you start investing  in the things  that you can keep

when you are strong, invest in your prayer, praying for your community. invest in the Word

when situations are not good, that will keep you.

Two things a man cannot afford

a) Ignorance

or

b) Negligence

Ignorance -

Negligence -

Go to the ant, O lazy one;
Observe her ways and be wise,

Which, having no chief,
Overseer or ruler,

She prepares her food in the summer
And brings in her provisions [of food for the winter] in the harvest.

No trial and error

Your life is a reflection of your thoughts.

if there is an unstability in your life

I am New Creation --- i shall walk in Purity

I shall walk in Righteousness

14 These all continued with one [d]accord in prayer [e]and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers..

1 Timothy 1:18

18 This [f]charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

Life -  instant

Strength - gradually

Desire the sincere milk of God

1 Peter 2:2

as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow [a]thereby,

Value lives:

Joseph thought lives are precious

Ants thought ants lives are precious

anything that you do

you pray - not to pray

you read - not to read

Faith in Jesus

Not the traditions of law
