21 Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered, “It is because of Saul and his [a]bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.” 2 So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; the children of Israel had sworn protection to them, but Saul had sought to kill them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah.
3 Therefore David said to the Gibeonites, “What shall I do for you? And with what shall I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?”
4 And the Gibeonites said to him, “We will have no silver or gold from Saul or from his house, nor shall you kill any man in Israel for us.”
So he said, “Whatever you say, I will do for you.”
5 Then they answered the king, “As for the man who consumed us and plotted against us, that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the territories of Israel, 6 let seven men of his descendants be delivered to us, and we will hang them before the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, whom the Lord chose.”
And the king said, “I will give them.”
David's ruling - there was a famine for 3 years.

A man of Inquiry
A godly man - when there is something wrong in his life or in his authority - he first inquires God.
David was a man of inquiry.
Do you enquire God -
When David has to go to a war - he enquires God? Can I go?
Even after Saul and Jonathan were killed, David asks God where shall I go ?
2 Samuel 2:1
Today what was missing in Christianity is asking God?
When you have to take a decision? do you ask God?
when you are buying or moving or doing anything? do you ask God?
or do you just do it.
my testimony: Land purchase.
Isaiah 30:1
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord,
“Who take counsel, but not of Me,
And who [a]devise plans, but not of My Spirit,
That they may add sin to sin;
Famine:
Famines can come in Godly mans life also. But he searches it out
Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Nation has a problem - David goes and asks God.
Nothing happens in a mans life suddenly.
You dont get fat suddenly.
You dont become millionaire suddenly.
Vamsi didn't become a business owner suddenly.
Building up.
Acts 1:14
14 These all continued with one [d]accord in prayer [e]and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Jude 1:20
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Being built up.
So many people wait something to happen .
But you got to build.
Coming back, Famine happened. David searches out.
it is found that something happenned in time of saul
when famine happens, or pestilence happens.
When Nation is in problem - David comes onto picture.
Concern about God and nation is always on Davids mind.
When Israel was in problem - David was very angry at goliath-
1 Samuel 23:1-3 When Geliah was in problem - David went saved them
David is man of his country.
We live in this country
We like the fruit of the country- But we don't care about the pain of this country.
the fruit of the country - social security, food, lifestyle -everything we like.
But man when there is pain for the country -
For this Nation - we are the hope. It is not the politicians, it is not the judicial system
It is you and me who has the Spirit of God who can give the hope.
recent laws in the land
It is when things are good - you start investing in the things that you can keep
when you are strong, invest in your prayer, praying for your community. invest in the Word
when situations are not good, that will keep you.
Two things a man cannot afford
a) Ignorance
or
b) Negligence
Ignorance -
Negligence -

Go to the ant, O lazy one;
Observe her ways and be wise,

Which, having no chief,
Overseer or ruler,
8
She prepares her food in the summer
And brings in her provisions [of food for the winter] in the harvest.
No trial and error
Your life is a reflection of your thoughts.
if there is an unstability in your life
I am New Creation --- i shall walk in Purity
I shall walk in Righteousness

Life - instant
Strength - gradually
Desire the sincere milk of God
1 Peter 2:2

Ants thought ants lives are precious
