Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Gentleness is not a feeling; rather it is a fruit. It is the Fruit of the Spirit
What do you do with Fruit - You taste it, you cherish it, you relish it, you enjoy it.
Fruit is not you feel it. Fruit is something you would delight in it.
Gentleness - whenever we talk about gentleness - means quiet, head down.
But Gentleness - it is the result of the Work of the HolySpirit of God in your life.
In the previous verses , this gentleness is in direct confrontation with anger.
Isaiah 40:10,11
10 Behold, the Lord God shall come [e]with a strong hand,
And His arm shall rule for Him;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His [f]work before Him.
11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs with His arm,
And carry them in His bosom,
And gently lead those who are with young.
God is Strong , Rule.
This Strong God, this God who rules the heaven and earth, the creator and Almighty, who speaks to mountains and they shake, who quiets the roarings seas, and commands the lightnings and thunders, who opens the storehouses of snow, who commands and day night and who keeps the planets in their orbits by the perfect work of the gravitational forces at work.
This amazing God , when He relates to His people, He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs with His arm and carry them in His bosom and gently lead those who are with young.
Have you ever come across a pregnant woman, and you give your seat to her, have you ever cared for small children.
God says although I am Strong, Am powerful, but I will gather the lambs with His arm, carry in bosom, gently lead those who are nursing.
Amazing sight of God.
Gentleness is All Powerful God dealing those who are in weakness.
He Will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street
He will not break those who are broken.
but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right.
With Gentleness you can set things right.
sometimes when you are gentle, you think you don't have a upper hand.
but Jesus set things right by being gentle.
By being gentle on the cross he defeated the enemy,
by being gentle on the cross, he defeated the death.
Isaiah 42:1-3
“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,
My [a]Elect One in whom My soul delights!
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
2 He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed He will not break,
And [b]smoking flax He will not [c]quench;
He won’t call attention to what he does
with loud speeches or gaudy parades.
He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt
and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant,
Matthew 12:19,20
He will not quarrel nor cry out,
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

And smoking flax He will not quench,
Till He sends forth justice to victory;
Jesus - Matthew 11: 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am[f]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Jesus could says Come to Me.
His invitation is based on who He is. all who labor and heavy laden, come I will give you rest.
for I am gently and lowly in heart.
you will get rest when you go people who are gentle. not to the poeple who have money, not to the people who have knowledge, but when you go to the people who are meek gentle you will get rest.
Jesus says come to me.
The presence of God is always revealed in gentleness.
1 kings 19:11-13
11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, butthe Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord wasnot in the fire; and after the fire [e]a still small voice.
13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
Moses - was a man who was so powerful.
He killed an Egyptian with such a brutal force.
But God calls him meek. Not just meek but more than all men who were on the face of the earth.
Humbleness or meekness - Obedience of Gods Word.
Numbers 12:3
3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
Moses knew the heart of God and plead for Israel .
Exodus 32: 11-14
11 Then Moses pleaded with [d]the Lord his God, and said: “Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ” 14 So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.
Why do anger comes, why envy , strife comes because of selfishness.

James 3:
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and [h]self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist,confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turns away wrath,
But a harsh word stirs up anger.
The general tendency is if some one talks in anger , that we respond in anger.
but a gentle person knows the ways of God and brings a soft answer that turns away wrath.
It is easy to return back for what others speak.
people who speak like that are those who are in weakness. Who depends on emotions rather than Truth of God.

Proverbs 16:24
24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.
Gentleness bring best adornment.
Woman - gentle and quiet Spirit.3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the [a]incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
