Covering - Part 2

In Part1, we have seen what it means Covering.

How you a man can cover his family

1) Presence

2) Words

3) Prayer

While most of us do this,  we care about our families, but it stops there.

Dominion

The dominion of a man can be as big as his heart his.

I repeat this the dominion of  a man can be as big as his heart his.

How much ever your heart desires, you can have that dominion.

A mans dominion - His area of authority is his home, his area of authority is his workplace, the people under him.

But it doesnot have to end there.

God has given man the ability to expand his dominion.

In Olden days, people conquer more land and expand

One kingdom expands and adds.

But when it comes to life of a believer, especially with backgrounds like us, we restrict to our homes. Rarely we go beyond.

One man who has biggest and largest dominion in the whole earth is Abraham.

Genesis 18:17,18

17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, 18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Abraham's dominion is all the nations.

There is no one in this world through whom the whole world is blessed.

The Lord has given that blessing to Abraham.

His dominion is to all nations.

But how did Abraham was given this dominion.

Bargain:

Genesis 18:23-24

23 And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?

Abraham started bargaining with God to save people.

What are the some of the things we usually bargain?

1) Clothes, electronics,  deals

But Abraham does not bargain for these things.

His bargaining is with God,

50 people - will you save

45 - save?

40 - save?

30 - save?

20 - save?

10 -save?

you see Abraham did not just ask to rescue Lot from Sodom, actually he is interceding for whole city of sodom and gomorrah

what kind of man Abraham - a man who is expanding his covering upon a city.

When Abraham thought of a city, God gave Abraham whole nations.

Psalms 2:8

Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

I think it is time , we should change our mindset to expand our realestate.

Mens March in the comunity:

Church

Even in the Church, we limit our covering to our family.

We come , say hi and how are you, find out whats going on, go away.

Each one of you can influence another youngster.

we might not know, but they will eager to talk to us. we just have to open up.

Have you ever took time to speak Isaac, Johann, these kind of youngsters.

But speaking heart to heart.

You are expanding

A mans words are more important than a woman's words to bless others.

How did Jacob got blessed?

By words of his father Isaaac.

Why did Rebekah did not bless her son by herself.

Every mans words carry so much covering .

Esther 2:7

And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

This is amazing, that Mordecai took Esther as his own daughter

You know the bible did not talk about Mordecai's sons and daughters.

if God has to write history, he will see whom you have birth spiritually rather than physical children.

V10,11

10 Esther had not [k]revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it. 11 And every day Mordecai paced in front of the court of the women’s quarters, to learn of Esther’s welfare and what was happening to her.

Mordecai was learning of Esther's welfare, and what was happening to her.

This is the fathers heart .

You and me can be father not only to physical children, but everyone has potential to find out what is going on others life and speak to them and bless them.

Expand your covering.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
