Psalm 45

The Theme is :  God on His Throne.

v6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

v7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness

God is on the throne. and He Reigns. and He Rules.
Nothing comes as surprise to God.
God is Sovereign. 
God is in full knowledge of everything and anything that happens in our lives.

Every season that you go through, God is aware of it.

Many Christians miss the point that God rules and turn to other gods.

That is the reason so many of us depend on luck.


Isaiah 65:11
11 “But because the rest of you have forsaken the Lord
    and have forgotten his Temple,
and because you have prepared feasts to honor the god of Fate
    and have offered mixed wine to the god of Destiny,


Today s America and for that matter whole world is after the idol called idol of luck.
American idol is luck. because Church missed the point God is soverign and rules, even Church is also after luck.

People use the words like

Good luck
Hard luck
Tough luck
Luck be a lady tonight

Story :

People do all kinds of Astrology, depend on times, new moon, seasons.
Superstitions.
When going out , if cat comes in your walk, you go back home.

Every time you talk about luck, Isaiah says you prepare a table for Gad( Fortune),  and Meni ( Destiny)

And when you go to interview or exam, dont say Wish you good luck.
You Might go to Church, you might come and worship and you might read the bible, but as soon as you  start depending on luck, you make the luck as your god.

Luck - means you are believing in a radom force that does not appear.

There is no such thing as called luck.

For a Christian, your provision, your life should center around Christ.

On the contrary to the luck,

Romans 8:28 says

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[m] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Psalm 43Latest

God of Hope in time of discouragement.

Discouragement :

A loss of confidence or enthusiasm.

What brings discouragement in peoples lives.

Fear -  Fear of what holds tomorrow, Fear about future, about kids, about health, about relationships, about career, fear of meeting expectations.

last week at my workplace, i was called by the bosses and was asked to lead a project. But there is already an existing project lead for it.

and i came to know that this existing project lead said " I can not handle this. This is taking too much toll on me". He was so discouraged that the expectations were not met and he gave up.

Self Pity and Self Condemnation - 

Why me, Why everything happens to me. My contemporaries are all doing good. they are settle down , but look at me. Pity me.and not only you pity yourself, but you condemn the image of God in you.

Unbelief - Unbelief brings discouragement. Especially when you are in a storm, the unbelief creeps in very easily and that discourages us.

The fear, self pity , unbelief  are all by products of satan's lies.

When we face discouragement , we usually tend to focus is on our inability to help our self or inability of others to help us,  

rather than concentrating on the ability of God to help us.

It is not the problem that gives discouragement. but it is the lack of Hope is the main reason , why people go into depression and discouragement. 

Elijah was a man like us. This Bible is about real people, real problems, and real problem solving God.

1 Kings 

This Prophet Elijah one day declared to the heavens and said at , No rain for next few years except at my word.

This is a man who has authority over creation. he can speak to king and command heavens.

and when he prayed, fire from heaven burned up the sacrifice. and he killed 450 prophets of baal.

But something hapenned after that , a woman gave him a message , am gonna kill you.

1 Kings 19: 3

He prayed that he might die.

Fear, Self Pity, Enough is Enough

I have had enough,LORD.

Take my life.

No better than ancestors.

LIGHT and TRUTH

When Elijah was going through this time of depression, discouragement, it was Gods Light an Truth that helped him to make a comeback.

Elijah knows that he wont die, all the school of prophets know he wont die, but words of one woman brought fear into heart of mighty prophet.

brought lies into heart of this prophet.

What goes inside of you is very important.

What are you feeding on? 

This WORD is the TRUTH. This WORD is the LIGHT.

This Bible is Word of TRUTH.

This Bible has sustained generations of believers.

But God has dealt with discouragement of Elijah.

When you have HOPE, you will face any discouragement.

 

God is a God of Hope.

David and goliath.

All people of Israel including saul looked at goliath and were discouraged.

but when David comes he looked at David in a different view.

because he knows the HOPE of victory.

When you are not connected with WORD, some other word will fill you.

this is not like yoga.

Story of a herd of deer. ( from thinkster)

The story is told of a herd of deer who became trapped one winter in a steep ravine. With much of the winter left to go and no real supply of food they were doomed to die. They only needed to survive until the deep snows melted, and then they would be able to easily escape their predicament. When some local residents discovered the plight of the herd, they banded together as a town and began throwing hay down to the trapped animals. They delivered a significant amount of food to the deer. But several weeks later were troubled to discover that all of the animals were dead.

When they investigated, the hay had indeed been eaten, yet the deer all died of obvious starvation. What nobody realized, especially the deer, was that alfalfa - grass hay - won’t nourish deer. They ate it all the same, it seemed like food to them. But they all starved to death with full stomachs.

As humans, our need for nourishment exceeds just food. We also require emotional and intellectual nurturing. But like deer we can too easily confuse true sustenance with empty filler.

In order to nurture our minds and our souls, we must take care to not only find the proper "food", but also avoid too much of that which will do us damage. Like a stomach with limited space, if we consume too much meaningless and damaging “content”, we reduce our ability to consume that which we need.

How can we find the fillers in our own life?

Here are some criteria you can use to identify what may be taking space, but providing no nourishment.

First, is it quick and easy to obtain? Second, does it give the appearance of providing something important, like meaning or connection? Third, can it easily consume a lot of your time and energy? And finally after you consume it does it leave you feeling “empty”?

Some obvious examples would be things like social media, pornography, gaming or other hobbies, drugs and alcohol, etc. Any of these can meet the above criteria for things that “fill us up”, but leave us starving, like hay to a deer.

So what is your hay? What do you fill your time and head with that is slowly starving you? Hit reply and tell me.

Most of the Worlds problems.  You name it whether crimes, sin, homosexuality or any other issues.  you see because man when he was supposed to show up, he hide.

God is not asking Adams physical location.
But God is asking for his position?

Naming comes from faith. - Calling out

Keeping the garden.
 Garden was given to you.

Whether you know or not, most of the Christian dads are missing from their family lives because of the gadgets. and the children look at it and say hey i can also miss like my dad by using this gadget.

Building the House

House:

Everyone of us belongs to a house and part of a household.

NATION.

Every one will be building a house. Whether you know or not you are in the process of building your life, your family, your Church, your Nation.


Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;

Building a house is not easy. It needs  foundations.

Both are learning from the Same teacher.

Recently when I took the kids to beach the kids were building castles very quickly which look great and beautiful.

But as soon as the Wave came in the rock stayed, but the sand castle wiped off.

The depth of foundation decides how tall a building can be.

The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.

In the storm she was perfect. She said It is Well.

Most Christians do Post Approach than preapproach

SELF WILL.

God's will be done.

It is the denial of self will and say God's will be done. Is the key of Christian Life.

A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’  He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went.  Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go.  Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to Him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

Matthew 21:28‭-‬31 NKJV

Here we see 2 sons.

Both are sons.

The first one was full of his self will.

When father asked , he said I will not ,very Rash, very self will , I don't care, do what you want to do.

The second son.

Father came to second ,and second said Sir.

Nobody calls Father as Sir.

And this man appears so humble, he didn't even dare to call father as father but he calls sir.

And we get a picture of his speech, we might think thisan obeys whatever the father says.

But he didn't go.

Many people in the Church say Amen to the message, Altar call many people go forward. Looks more humble , you cannot even find a better Christian.

But the moment you go out , if you do your will, you refuse to cancel your own will and say God your will be done.

WISDOM is denying what you think and do God's Will.

WISDOM - requires having Heavenly View.

Most of the times , 

the way we look at situations , we look at people, things, reveal our spiritual status.

Even our response to any situation or any question will reveal how we think. Spiritual or Carnal.

Most people View/understand from a earthly point of view.

Heavenly View, Earthly View.

John 3:3,4

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Nicodemus came and praised Jesus and when Jesus said about born again.
Then Nicodemus said, How can a man be born when he is old.

Most of the times our responses to any situation is earthly.

Those whose sight is set on earthly things builds their foundation on sand. Because their thinking is always on earthly.

And their response is early.

One good test whether you think earthly or heavenly is first thing, when do you goto God's Word in a situation. Do you go first

Finances: Check bank accounts, friends, relatives, loan on credit card. And when no help comes then you goto God.

Sickness: first Google, then doctor, then everyone givesup then God.

WISDOM IS in looking at God's way of looking.

Seated in spiritual places.

Proverbs 24:3,4
Through wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
4 By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.

Building a house needs wisdom.

James 1:5

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him

First part of Wisdom.
