Second Coming of the LORD

Acts 1:9
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”


While the disciples looked steadfastly, two men said This same Jesus will come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.

The missing message in this millennial Christianity is this:
We preach grace,death of Christ, Resurrection of Christ and we stop there.
But the Future is this, He is coming back
The Second coming of the Lord.

When a guest says I am coming to your house.

We get ready. We clean our house, we make the food ready, we will be waiting.

Suppose , someone comes to our house without notice, you will be shocked to see the messy house, unprepared hosts in their unprepared garments.

But the Lord said , I am coming quickly.The angels told this same Jesus will come back soon.

Matthew 24: 42

42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what [g]hour your Lord is coming.

What we know for sure is the Lord is coming.

But when He is coming no one knows.

The Lord says Watch therefore, for you do not know the hour.

When you don't know at what hour He is coming, the best that you do is Keep Watch.

Jesus says to disciples Watch and Pray

Many know how to pray, but not many know to keep a Watch.

1) Peter says Be Sober and vigilant , for the adversary is like a roaring lion trying to devour.

Safeguard what you have - the Life that Lord gave you, Be watchful over it.

Esau had birthright , but he gave it away.

2)  1 Thessalonians 5:6,7

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be [a]sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

Do not be asleep as others do. Not the physical sleep, but dont get drunken with affairs of the world.

Now everyone is staying home, getting time to pray and meditation of the Word.

Now actually Church is in revival mode. Everyone on their knees. Many are asking what is Gods will in this. Many are asking, is the world going to end.

Never seen this kind of thing happening in life time. Many believers thoughts are going around the Lord.

But once the pandemic goes away and normal lives restored, will this kind of Intense prayer life will still be there? thats the question?

Will your thoughts still revolve around the Lord. asking what is Gods will in everything that we do?

If anyone wants to be ready for the Second coming of the Lord, Be Watchful for you do not know the hour.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4

2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Today Christians are so surprised about the corona virus had hit the city, country and the world in a big way.

If a Person Keeping a watch - he wont be surprised.

He knows these things must happen.

Revelation 22:20

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

In Revelation , The Lord says ," Surely" , "I am coming quickly".

This is the Word of the Lord. He Himself says I am coming quickly.
