House of Salvation
Never before we have seen or heard, people spending time with their families.
Husbands helping wives at home.
Family Spending time together.
No matter what you like something or don't like something, you got to stay in your home with your family.
No hanging out with friends, No partying outside. No Fun trips, No vacation rides, No Holiday travels. everything stopped.
Just stay at home, with your family.
No body would have ever imagined a time like this would ever come.
But it came.
Joshua 6
23 And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel
A woman and all her relatives in one house.
Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers, her sisters, and probably brothers families, sisters families. How many people minimum 7 people.
Rahab Received the Word.
Joshua 1:8-12
8 Now before they lay down, she came up to them on the roof, 9 and said to the men: “I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you. 10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed. 11 And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath. 12 Now therefore, I beg you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me [c]a true token,
The biggest problem in peoples lives is receiving the Word.
You may hear the Word, but do you receive it with gladness.
People who receive that gift will stay with them and work for them.
She heard about how 40 years back incident God parted the red sea.
She also heard recent incident of how God helped Israel to defeat sihon and og.
She not only believed what hapenned in past, and what is happening now but she also believed that she could be saved.
When we hear the Word. do you receive it
One person in a family receive the Word, whole household is saved.
Does not matter whether you are a boy, girl, man or woman. whoever you are, you receive the Word, your whole household will be saved.
Faith:
Faith works by Action. Rahab didnt just say I believe in God, She received them and sent them another way.
James 2:24-25
Identification
When you receive the Word, you Identify with Israel instead of Jericho.
Iam not ashamed of the gospel.
Public identification with God changes your covering.
That Word kept all of them together.
So Rahab brought all her parents, her relatives and everyone related to her to her house.
See the great thing they all have listened to her and came into her house.
Remember, Lot went out to bring his sons in law but they did not come.
Because there was no fear in the city of Sodom.
But when Rahab said they all came, because there was already fear of Israelites in the city of Jericho.
Sodom never had seen destruction before so Lots sons in law did not come,
Noahs time people didnt have fear of God. so they did not receive the warning signs.
But When Rahab shared the news to her relvatives, everyone came because into Rahabs house because there was already fear in everyones heart.
Sometimes when love does not work, fear works.
Recently the message about judgement does wonders. Nineveh got their act together because there was judgement.
Can you tell me some other instances in bible where 7 or more stayed in one place and waiting for great miracle of God.

Jesus disciples - in Upper Room - 120
After Ascent, Apostles and disciples in the upper room.
House -Comfortable? Easy for all the people to dwell together.
Why are you all staying together in one house?
Because you love your family so much that you dont want to leave them for a minute?You cannot spend a minute with out being with family?
The only reason why people are staying at home is Safety.
Safety is the reason. There is safety in your house.
But when Rahab Brought all the people
The Spies said , whoever is in thehouse, they shall be saved, but whoever goes out their blood be on their own head.
19 So it shall be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be [f]guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his [g]blood shall be on our head if a hand is laid on him. 20
There were so many people in the city of Jericho. Every one was afraid of Israelites, even Rahab was also afraid.
But one thing that set apart Rahab from all of the Jericho was She Received the Word, Received men of God.
Till the Spies came to Rahabs house, that was house of harlotry. but when men of God came into the house, and the Rahab received them and she beleived in God, that house turned into house of Salvation. Not only for her, but all of her family.
Ultimately she joined with Israels camp in chapter 6.
Be under one house.
Stick together - even though its not comfortable
In Church, not everyone is same. we see people from different backgrounds. But Stick together just like Rahab and her family were in that home. No one went out.
Because it is in the house of salvation , you are safe.
Remember , many people dont get established in the Church, they go out because of their desires and they get lost.
The Church you go to, Be faithful. Stick together in times of trouble, in times of joy, in times of challenges.
HOPE: SCARLET CORD
Finally , what saved Rahab and family is the Scarlet Cord in the Window of Rahabs house.
Scarlet Cord represents the blood of Christ.
The Blood of Christ is the only saving hope.
When the blood was applied on the doorpost, Israel families were saved.
and when the Scarlet Cord was tied at the window, Rahab and all her household got saved.
Never go out of the house of Scarlet cord. Only the House that has the Scarlet cord is safe,
STICK WITH YOUR CHURCH. - BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY HOPE.

Royal law - love your neighbor as yourself
James 2:8-9 NKJV
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Royal Law:
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
I Peter 2:9 NKJV
Do you believe Royal priesthood,
Royal laws are for Royal people.
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Luke 10:31-32 NKJV
Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
Priest -
Levite -
They are mediators between God and Man.
They know all cermonial things.
They know how to offer sacrifices.
They know how to be clean.
But look at Samaritan, he doesnt know how to worship, he doesnt know the rules correctly, he doesnt know cermonial things
Luke 10:33-35 NKJV
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’
Samaritan is also on a Journey just as Priest and Levite.
Whenever you are on a journey, God at times put some thing on your way, do we notice?
Paul was on a journey, God spoke to him
Journeys are important
Samaritan had also work.
But when he saw this man lying down
1) Compassion
Compassion changes lives.
We are saved by compassion
2) works out of compassion
He gave his animal, that means he has to walk.
Sometimes, we might have to leave out our comforts to help others.
We hear so much about Word, but when it comes to practical life., we go away like the priest and levite.
Today there are so many going through challenges.
But do we stepup to fulfill the royal law.
The Royal law is this
Love your neighbor as yourself.

Eternal Glory
Leviticus 10:3
3 And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying:
‘By those who come near Me
I must be regarded as holy;And before all the peopleI must be glorified.’ ”
By those who come near to God, God must be regarded as holy.
Many think, they can go to God just as they goto world.how we dress up before the world,how we speak before the worldhow behave with the world.We think we can goto God in the same way,
Today many say Iam friend.True , but He is Holy God.Worship Him in the beauty of His Holiness
Revelation 1:17
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying [i]to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
He fell at His feet as a dead man.
But the Lord says whoever comes near to me, He must be regarded as Holy.
You must believe that He is.
You must believe that He is not a man to lie, He is not a man to turn away from promises.
He is HOLY GOD.
Second Part is
He must be glorified before all people
God must be glorified in all your well being.
Genesis 14: 21,22
21 Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the [g]persons, and take the goods for yourself.”
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’—
Not only that God will be glorified in our sufferings.
12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
14 If you are [e]reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. [f]On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
One reason why believers are afraid to share gospel or to stand as testimony is this they do not know what blessing it is in suffering.
Today i called one of my colleague.
But there is blessing in suffering. when we know this blessing ,We can be boldly proclaim gospel.
Romans 8:18
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
No comparison of what shall be revealed in us.
The glory that shall be revealed in us is so great , the things that we suffer are not even compared.

Everything in this world perishes-
There is an exceeding joy when His glory is revealed.

When He is revealed, we shall be like Him.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance [b]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Inheritance
1) Living Hope
2) Incorruptible
3) Undefiled
4) Does not fade away
5) Reserved in heaven
That gives boldness to share the gospel.
This is how God created man in His likeness. and the glory of man is like Jesus Christ.

Behold your mother - Not running away from Responsibilities

Victory Display - Many of us show trophies to display what our victory is,
But Jesus showed His hands, His Side.
That in putting others first, there will be scars. there will be suffering.
John 20
19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were [e]assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side.
