Fellowship

Salvation - is not to live a lonely life.
Salvation is to become part of the body.

Salvation is not that you saved and get whatever you want.

But Salvation was to have fellowship.

The attitude of a believer should be.

I am now born into a family.
In a world of smart phones , the fellowship is mostly with gadgets or virtual fellowship.

We have lost sight of what a true fellowship in these years.

God is calling a believer

Ephesians 4:5,6

4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in [c]you all.

What is all common between the believers.

One Body

One Spirit

One Lord

One Faith

One Baptism

One God and Father

I Corinthians 12:12‭-‬27 NKJV

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would  be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would  be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there  are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

The beauty of the human body composition is to reveal to what Church is. 

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

If one body suffers, your other part of the body will not say i don't care, its the problem of the other part.

how foolish it would be.

The Church also is body. 

Every member in the Church is important, every one right from the youngest to the oldest,  

richest to the poorest,

well off family to not so good families

whatever you say, working to still looking for job.

All are important.

Fellow ship means coming together.

Many of us think ,  sunday means gather and listent to worship and sunday message and go away.

But the fellowship is more than what we think

It is the life together. A life of sharing. The blood of Christ flows through.

The same Spirit is in our lives.  

Yes it does,  Is my fellowship extends beyond sunday? Yes, I know we are all seperated by distance,  but when the need arises, we meet and go and notonly on need basis, there were days when we just meet to meditate and share.

Acts 2:42 NKJV

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The Church was born and 3 thousand members added and look what they are doing. 

apostles doctrine -  there was continuous teaching of Word of God.

Fellowship - There is sharing of life together.

In this fellowship - the key is your personal walk with God.

When you have personal walk with God - you can pour out when you have fellowship with others.

But we see the fellowship s very weak or just being friends or we can not talk with another brother or sister, that is because we are empty inside.

If you are empty inside,all that comes is how are you and hi bye.

or some general matter like weather, sports, politics or maximum we talk about food.

When there is true fellowship

There comes fear of God.

There are signs and wonders.

In the fellowship, there came fear, many wonders and signs.

I John 1:3 NKJV

that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is  with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

John 17:20
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
John 17:20‭-‬21 NKJV

When the Lord prayed for the disciples, this is what He prayed for. All may be One. The oneness will come through the fellowship.

 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. 

Never think you can be made perfect alone.

There is no love in the lonliness, there is no wisdom applied in lonliness, there is joy in alone. It is in the Unity , it is in the togetherness.

When our rough edges are tested. Only when you are together, your humility comes out, your love flows out, your kindness flows out when one of your body is in need.

Humble 

Matthew 18:4 NKJV

Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.Never compare yourself with others in Church- whether am greatest 

or some have inferiority complex, they think they are not worthy like others.

Am not able to do what others are doing.

Just yield to what God calls you for, and God will use you.

Don't offend others

Matthew 18:6 NKJV

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

The problem in many Churches is The make others stumble.

There is big problem for those make others stumble.

Let your words build other person

Let your character encourage other person

Let your dressing build others to live a godly life.

Care for one another

Ezra - they all as one man.

And when the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.

Delight in each other

As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”
