God  hears

God heard from the beginning.
When Adam and Eve some , God heard .

When Abel's blood cried out , He heard
And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.
Genesis 4:10 NKJV

And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
Genesis 18:23 NKJV

When Israelites cried out from Egypt God heard their cry.

When Hannah cried, God heard her prayer.

Usually we are very quick in few things.

Talk
Judge
Anger

Be quick :

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
James 1:19 NKJV

When you speak more, you are all about yourself.
When you listen more you listen to others also.

Anger and mouth goes together most of times.

Only if you listen to complete story then you will know what happened.

1) Listen to God
Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Lord Jesus often went out to mountain wide to hear God.

Clock sound only heard when it is silent.
In all the noises.
Lord Jesus says I hear what My Father says

God is on the throne, let all earth be silent

How do you listen?
Hear and receive the Word.

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it  not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
I Thessalonians 2:13 NKJV

Mix Faith: We see lots of people hear Word over years but no change.

Hebrews 4:2,3
Hearing should be mixed with faith.

Listening to people:

Abraham listened to Lot
Moses listened  to Israelites
Apostles listened to Church.

When dealing with spouse.
All women need is a listening ear.

Most of the complaints from women , my husband don't talk to me.

But it is actually my husband didn't listen to me.

You don't have to do everything they say, all they need is a listening ear.

Sit with them . Ask about their health, about their spiritual
Life.
You are priest.
How can you pray for your wife.

Abraham listened , but sometimes you have to stop at listening.

Adam listened and then did.
So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord  has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

No Tickling ears

In the end, do not be just hearers but doers.
