Psalm 126

Psalm 126 is a Psalm of celebration.

This celebration is for the deliverance that God has given us.

V 1: When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.

Many of us dream about lot of things, Things which are not realistic, which don't happen.
But when that  happens , you say its like a dream come true.

This is probably talking about captivity by babylon.

How many years : 70.

And consider the might of babylon at that time,
consider the situations, they never thought.

Leviticus 25 : 2 - 4
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the LordSix years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather its fruit; but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard

These are the days where people work extra hours even at the cost of attending Church.
But we should know that God has ordained every thing for a purpose.

God says 6 days you work, seventh day rest, a rest in the presence of the Lord. you don't give rest what happens it leads to captivity.

God says bring your tithe into the house of God. if you don't do it, it some how leads captivity.

God says 6 years you sow , seventh year rest. and if you don't it leads to captivity.

For 490 years they have not given rest to the land. And so, God decided that the land should have rest.

Leviticus 26 : 34-35

34 Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land;
then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
35 As long as it lies desolate it shall rest—
for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in i

When we see thing, we always look at ourselves.
But when God looks at things, He is concerned about everything.

Give the seventh day rest, He thinks about the servants of the house, about the animals which work in the field.
and when He says seventh year you should give rest to the land, he thinks even for the land.
and the land also should get rest.

God does not leave us in the captivity but also has a plan for deliverance.
but in captivity we learn the lesson hard way.

V 2 - When they were in captivity there were not singing.

Psalm 137 : no singing, only weeping in captivity.
By the rivers of Babylon,
There we sat down, yea, we wept
When we remembered Zion.
We hung our harps
Upon the willows in the midst of it.
For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song,
And those who plundered us requested mirth,
Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
How shall we sing the Lord’s song
In a foreign land?

We see so many people in captivity.
V 5,6  - says Sow in Tears and you shall reap in joy.
last week when Pastor Yesudhas was here, he was telling cry for the empty pews and for people in captivity. We shall doubtless come again with rejoincing

Those who sow in tears
Shall reap in joy.
He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.
