Psalms 77

V 2 : In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord.

Whatever be the trouble, you go through, Seek the Lord.
Whether its health, finance, relationship, seek the Lord.

In your trouble, whom do you seek.

In Matthew 6:9
Lord Jesus when teaching how to pray.
First thing in the prayer He teaches is Our Father in heaven.
What does this mean.

Before you ask for anything, first let there be a relationship.
Whom do we call father. Can we call any outsider as Father.
With whom you have relationship, them only we can call Father.
Your prayer doesn't start by just asking whenever you need something.
The Lord is clearly telling here that your Prayer starts with the relationship.

Do we have that relationship where we commune with Our God daily and can boldly declare God as our Father.
The psalmist says, In my trouble, I sought the Lord.
Your seeking of the Lord starts with that relationship.

Verse 7 onwards - When you get all these questions like.
Will the Lord cast off forever?
WIll he be favorable no more?
Has His mercy ceased forever?
Has His promise failed forevermore?
Has God forgotten to be gracious?

3 things that psalmist teaches is:

Remembrance,Meditation,Confession.

1) Remembrance
                             - remember the wonderful things God has done.
Story of a man sharing with neighbor about memory improvement class in seminary.
We are in a fast paced world where hardly there is time to remember.
But our memory power increases when we remember the wonderful things God does in our lives.

Psalm 103:2 says
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

Tomorrow UnitedStates celebrate the Memorial day remembring the soldiers who died in the war
This Psalm teaches us to remember what God has done in our lives.

Apostle Paul also remembers the Churches he planted in his prayers.
Phillipians 1:3, Remember the people God gave you. pray for them.

Your remembrance of God and the people He gave you shows how thankful you are to God.

2) Meditation
                              - Meditate on all His works.
V 14:  Not only remembrance, but meditate on how God worked in all those situations.
In any of the God works in your life, see how Gods strength is revealed in our situations.

3) Confession
                              - Declare His works.
Psalm 30 says - Declare the Works of God and you will be amazed.
Your testimony will have impact on others.

But all these things start with one thing.
our Father in heaven. --- let that relationship be established, grow in the relationship .
Remember,Mediate and Declare the works of God.
