Stable Life
Psalm 51:10

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Renew a Steadfast spirit in me.

Steadfast: meaning is Stable, Constant. Immovable.

And Psalmist says Renew a Steadfast Spirit within me.

What is steadfast spirit.

A constant spirit, immovable - whatever may happen or whatever it takes, you are steadfast.

We are living in a world where everything changes .
Today if you have iphone 7 , tomorrow you will have iphone8.
today you might have  a blasting Note 7 and tomorrow you may have fiery Note 8.

the clothes you wear today you will trash it in few months, saying it became old.

Hair styles change - today you have spikes , tomorrow you shave off your sides.

We are in a continuous changing world.

people in wedding say,

On this special day, I affirm to you in the presence of God and these witnesses my sacred promise to stay by your side as your faithful husband, in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times an the bad.

but if a disturbance comes, then they think of divorce.

But Psalmist says Lord I need a Steadfast Spirit in me.

Jeremiah 17:9 says

9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

The heart is deceitful above all things.

First we should know this Truth.

We always think, this brother is deceitful , this boss is deceitful, this colleague is deceitful, this neighbors, this relatives - we should first say the heart is deceitful.

More than your enemies, your relatives, your neighbors, your friends, or your bosses, who is deceitful above all things.

This heart is wavering, not stable.
This heart is too much attached to sin.
It can't stay even one single day without looking at sin

It can't stay even one day without enjoying things of the world.

The decisions i took in a powerful anointing meeting, am not able to keep it.
The decisions i took in my sadness , am not able to keep it.
the decisions i took by my own without anybody advising me, these also am not able to stay.

Why there is lacking of steadfastness in our hearts today.
Why the heart is always changing.

Like the leaves that changes colors with season.
When fall comes, the leaves changes colors.  And then they actually fall off.
Remember when keep changing colors and there is no steadfastness the fall is near.

Lack of Godly Sorrow.

2 Corinthians 7:10  Godly Sorrow.
There is lacking of Godly sorrow.

When we think of sorry, it s one of the most abused words ,
For anything people say sorry.
If you accidentally step on a person foot you say sorry, if you open the door and  don't hold it for others you say sorry.
Sorry is not simply a word .to tell is. It's a feeling .

Many times we are like pharoah.
Exodus 8:8
Sorry Please ask Lord.
Verse 15
When pharoah saw there was relief,
Again sin.
And it happened many times,
Whenever there is trouble we will say sorry Lord or we will ask pastor please pray for me  but when danger is gone and relaxed you will.

People When they don't have job they fast and pray, your bed will be full of tears .
But when you get the job,  your heart is hardened to pray like pharoah,

Like pharoah said who will do the work, you say who will go to morning work if I sit n pray in the night.

There is no deep godly sorrow
It is all situational sorrow.

The Godly Sorrow is this.

You feel oh why I committed that sin against God. Oh even after hearing the Word of God how can i go against it.
You cry about it.
There is this Godly Sorrow.
For a true and honest heart,  God by His Will creates that sorrow.
It's not something you say sorry Lord whenever you commit sin.

When there is casualty in your sorrow threes is surety of  repeating it.
When there's deep godly sorrow there is steadfastness.

Today do we have that deep sorrow when we sin.

Isaiah 57:20  Throwing mud at others.

Raging Sea vs Crystal calm sea.

When we keep throwing stones at others, remember heart is not steadfast.
you know why , turn to Isaiah 57:20

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea,
When it cannot rest,
Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

The wicked is like the troubled sea. It always cast up dirt on others.

For them, there is no stability.
They are tossed for every action of other people.
Their behavior is always dependent on other people.

Is your behavior dependent on others or dependent on God.

Some people say, as long he is good to me I will be good to them but if you rub me on wrong side you will see th e real me..

Your mood,  your peace,  your dignity is all depend on others

How long will you let your character depend on people.

How long will you let situations define who you are

Jeremiah 17: 7,8
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Jeremiah 17:8 NKJV

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.whose hope is in the Lord.

Blessed is because he trusts in the Lord.
And puts hope in the Lord.
You will not hope and wait for people/situations to change, you will not trust man to define your character.
But you will be steadfast , your leaf will be green , it's not like the leaves that changes colors in seasons such leaves fall.
You will not be anxious in drought.
When there is no job you will not be anxious.

Colossians 3:15
Peace of Christ.

6 Before the throne there was[e] a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

When I lost my job in last November,  I was without job for 15 days, but at the ed of the month u got full salary and an extra 20% also.

Does the drought affected my salary.
Does the joblessness affected me?
It's the Faith.

Numbers 22:

Some times our stability is tested when we get a Word from the Lord and for the same issue we get the word from man.

Numbers 22:
In V12 -
Balaam heard God's speaking to him not to curse israelites.
So he went n told that to balaks men.
And now balaks men returned again with big offer and more honorable men came.

Once you heard God's Word, even if mighty men cone or a better offer come then it shouldn't matter.
But see what Balaam did
V18 he gives a big statement.
V19 he said but stay let me find out if there is anything else God wants to say.
He knows what God has to say but still because of his desire he wants to see he can hear anything else for his desire.

Don't we do that sometimes , God's Word gives a clear NO, but for our satisfaction we will try to pray again for that thing.

You know the danger is if you are lusting after something and you received a word of NO and you try to ask again you might get an yes. Thats a trap.
V 12 - don't go
V20 - go

Romans 1: 26.
God gave them up to their own passions.

Today in what area of our life,  are we hearing both God's word and man's word.  In which area we trying to ask God again and again because of our lusts.

Balaams heart when he hears God's Word he does great prophecies.
But when hears the man's word, then lusts after it.

Are we in such situations today.

When he goes to God, he says there is no one like, you are more than riches,
when he comes outside - his want is so much, let me think about it.

This heart is deceitful..

How to overcome this wavering heart.

Don't take glory,  give Glory to God.

Romans 4:20

Abraham was not wavering on promise even though they're is delay, because he was giving glory.
Abraham was stable.
you make a good food for Church. Give Glory to God, you sang well in church , give Glory to God.  .
The more you give Glory to God, what happens is that you are saying with me it's impossible but by God it was done.

Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

holiness in sight of God

peace with people

pursue - i will be set apart, i will not compromise

pursue - peace.

some always look for an opportunity to pursue a fight, but pursue peace.

that brings stability.

Praying moments.

Psalmist cried out in psalm. 55:17Evening morning and noon.
2 Samuel 11:2
One evening he was on a weakest area so he decided he will turn his weakest moments of his life into prayer moments( pastor Sastry)

so he decided that in his weak moments should be the moments of kneeling down and prayer.
please note down these things
that weakest moments of my life should be moments of prayer.

which part of the day is your weak moments in life --

he is not praying oh sorry Lord. Godly sorrow brings repentance to salvation.

Not because of situations, circumstances, but with Godly Sorrow he asks for Steadfast Spirit.

James : Test of Faith produces steadfastness.

"Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!" (Psalm 119:5)

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you" (Isaiah 26:3).

Psalm 88

Psalm 88
Psalmist is in a situation where he is away from the loved one and friend .
Psalmist is experiencing that lonlieness.

if you see life of Jacob.
Genesis 32:22-24
he was coming out of Laban's house,

In his lonliness, he found God.
It is easy to Praise God in the group, when alone do you lift hands and you shout and praise God.
God allows time of lonliness so that You can get close to Him.

Jacob, in his lonliness he wrestled with GOD.
his blessing did not come with all the earnings he had. he has to give it to the cursed one (esau).
his wife died on the road side.
But his real blessing came when in the time of lonliness he cried out to God, He became Israel.

God allows time of lonliness to every one.
or you got to take time out in your busy schedule to cry out to God.

what you are in secret is what you are.
what you are in public is just a reflection of what you are inside.

Your
your waist is just a reflection of how well  you eat.

Some people always struggle with finances. They keep taking loans.
then you don't need to tell, they might skipping their giving, they might be cutting if their giving.
some people eat food here, and they give it some where else.

and you see their lives will be shallow and struggling in their finances.

especially what belongs to God , give it.
don't hold off n things of God.

Gideon Bible study

Midanites - meaning Strife. Midian is father of Midianties - fourth son of Abraham by Keturah.

Whenever there is sin in life, there comes strife in some form.(it will be manifested in strife form).
and the strife need not be from outside, it can be from same family.
for see,
Isaac - is Abrahams only Son. -  son of Promise
and all others are Abrahams sons
so when the Israel sinned, it came from the flesh.

Verse 3, You may look like working very hard, laboring but your earning might be going waste.
bro, whatever salary i get it does not go for good, it all went for waste.

Verse 5,

It is always better to have things of promise.


V 11. Angel of the Lord, called Gideon, might man of valor.
Gideon - is the weakest clan in Manasseh and he is considered least in the family.
Response from Gideon is about Lord and not himself.

If you are weak, and think what can God do with me, Yes you are like Gideon.
God + weak man is the biggest thing in the world.


1 Corinthians 1:27
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise



When God wants to use us, first he will test our obedience in small things.
in this case, he was asked to cut down the baal altar.
For Dan, Shedrech, Mesech, Abednego - the test has started with food.
Some times, you will have a brother or sister who helps in taking the stand, and then you will get a situation where you have to take a stand yourself.
Also, before he takes you to work into the world, he will ask us to put our house in order.
Gideon did it in the night and God knows it, and God did not condemn him nor the.
Although you are fearful, and afraid to take a stand, but just obey. God will elevate you.
You say i fear man more than God.

The fight.
13500 - midianties
32000 israelites - God says more people, why?
Like Gideon, we try to bring up all our resources to do a godly task.
For doing a godly task , you need a core batch.

For Daniel, he  has this core batch - to do godly task.

And 300 remained. the test was very natural.. in every day lives how we do things and live for God brings out the spirituality.
Today can you one of those 300, that God chooses the core batch, where people like Gideon can come and count on you.
all those who are afraid or gone. the next is who bends down in natural things are gone.

And also for glory of God.

Psalm 86

Lord, You are God
I am poor, needy, holy.
 When David says " I am holy"
its natural to think why he proudly says I am holy.

But if we truly understand what he says " Lord I am separated one in this world".

In life of David, people gave lot of names to David.
David father and brothers called him, just a shepherd boy.
Saul called him enemy,
there were others who called David as murderer.

But David did not confess what man said about Him.
He know what God says about Him.
He also knows the promises of God, that God delivers His holy ones.
Lord I am a holy one.

we worshiped God with songs and praises. If you truly want to worship God with this psalm meditation, you have to declare promises of God. don't confess what other people say about you.
Always see what God has promised and believe and confess.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;


V9 : Nations
Genesis 25:22,23

Here God calls Jacob and Esau as Nations. For us we may say two infants or two embroyos.
But God looks them as Nations.
In Abraham, God saw Nations of Faith.

my grandfather, in his whole family, he first believed in the Lord. and the whole tree continued - it is 70 people , many are believers. some are full time.

If one person takes a stand you see how great an effect is.
that is why when we look at a one person , dont just say he may not come or she may not come. But look at them as a nation. their faith will impact the nation that comes from them.


V11,V12

Unite my heart to fear your Name.


Life Lot - on one side - his wife, 
             on other side - his daughters got engaged
             on another side - its greener pastures, wealthy living.

I dont know whats going on in Lots mind, when angels came to bring Lots family out of sodom. But Lot united his heart and decided Yes whatever may be the emotional parts but Fear Gods Name.
Same with Noah, people might be calling him mad guy when he was building the ark, but he united his heart to fear Gods Name.
Today if you are going through different things in your life, unite your heart to fear Gods Name and do things that bring Glory to God .
